Vic: State govt to investigate bans for cricket yobbos
MELBOURNE, Jan 13 AAP - The Victorian government will investigate banning cricket yobbosfrom matches, with suspensions ranging from one year to life.
But Police and Emergency Services Minister Andre Haermeyer ruled out banning alcoholat matches, saying it would penalise well-behaved spectators for the antics of a few "lobotomiseddickheads".
His comments came as police increased their presence at today's South Africa versusAustralia one-day cricket international at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
