Cyc: Meares through to sprint semis
ANNA MEARES' bid for a second Olympic gold medal has stayed on course, when she qualified
for the semi-finals of the women's sprint.
MEARES beat Germany's KATRIN MEINKE 2-0 in the best of three quarter-final races to
reach the semi-finals at the Olympic Velodrome.
MEARES won the 500m time trial gold on Friday in world record time and has continued
her form in the head-to-head sprint.
