E Education Network, Inc., a subsidiary of Exus Global Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: EXGL) , announced today the launch of its International Nursing Preparation Program in Emerging Markets. The Program will provide online courses to assist foreign trained nurses to pass the NCLEX(R) exam, a necessary step in licensure before a nurse can enter into the profession in the U.S. The Program will assist hundreds of nurses with hopes of obtaining employment in the U.S., where an acute nursing shortage has plagued hospitals and where foreign trained nurses can obtain better paying positions.
Licensing authorities within each jurisdiction regulate entry into the practice of nursing in the U.S. To ensure public protection, each jurisdiction requires candidates for licensure to pass an exam that measures the competencies needed to perform safely and effectively as a newly licensed, entry-level registered nurse. The NCLEX(R) exams, developed by The National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc., is used by state boards of nursing to assist in making licensure decisions.
Until now, many U.S. hospitals have been sourcing English-speaking nurses in the Philippines, India and Canada -- but even the potential candidates from these countries is not sufficient to fill U.S. demand. These hospitals are now looking elsewhere, with a focus on emerging marketplaces. EEN hopes to train up to 100 nurses per month in emerging markets on taking the computer- based NCLEX(R). EEN 's Educational Centers will be able to train highly qualified applicants -- those with graduate nurses degrees, are fluent in English and have at least three years of experience. Contracts with American Hospitals and Nursing Agencies will be sought, who generally each spend an average of $10,000 per nurse in recruitment fees, with an estimate of 1,000 Nurses annually, EEN hopes to generate $10,000,000 in revenues from these efforts. Nursing Universities in Poland and Ukraine will be the first partners participating in the program.
